Q&A

Qs:1  How long do micro links last?

Ans: Up to 3 months with routine maintenance.

Qs:2 What is the difference between I tips, single weft, and double weft micro links?

Ans:  I tips are individual pieces adhered to small sections of your hair with a metal bead.
-  Single wefts adhere to the hair with a bead that is covered under the  weft and this install is more for individuals with thin hair or  individuals just interested in adding light volume and length!
-  Double wefts include beading and stitching. A weft is laid under the  beads and another weft is placed on top of the beads allowing the beads  to be invisible. The install is held together with thread. This install  allows for maximum fullness.

Qs:3 Who are micro links intended for based on hair texture?

Ans: Micro links are possible for both natural clients as  well as relaxed clients. Just be aware that for our relaxed clients no  chemical service will be applied while micro links are installed. For  our natural babes during your consultation we will match your curl  pattern to our MLU University extensions.

Qs:4  Are micro links suitable for individuals with thin hair?

Ans: Yes; I would suggest the single weft method for our thinner babes to avoid extreme tension that might come from
I tips and the double weft method!

Qs:5 Is there a required hair length for micro links?

Ans: Yes if you are focused on being able to make a  ponytail! 5 inches at least will be required. If you chose not to wear  it up in a pony you will just need enough length to pass through the  bead. Clarification will be made during your consultation on what is  best for your texture, length, and density.

Qs:6 Are micro links known to cause tension at the scalp?

Ans: No; the links will be a little tight during the  initial install but it will loosen in a couple of days. The tension is  very minimal and does not compare to the tension in which is created  during a basic install.

Qs:7 Can the extensions be reused?

Ans: Yes, your MLU University extensions can be reused with proper maintenance with quality products.

Qs:8 Can the extensions be colored?

Ans: Yes, your MLU University extensions can be colored  but please be aware that color can change the texture and pattern of  your extensions due to the hair being processed.

Qs:9 How often is maintenance for micro links?

Ans: Maintenance is every 2 to 3 weeks for a shampoo and  hydration session and every 6 to 8 weeks for bead adjustments due to new  growth. Maintenance does vary from client to client based on their  lifestyle.

Qs:10  Which install is great for fullness?

Ans: The double weft install will achieve the maximum fullness out of the three options!

Qs:11 Can I remove micro links myself?

Ans: No; links need to be taken out by a professional to  avoid excessive shedding and possible balding if not removing the link  correctly.

Qs:12 Which method allows me to wear a pony and versatile partings?

Ans: All three methods allow these capabilities!

Qs:13 Can I shampoo my hair at home?

Ans: Yes, but be sure you discuss which products you are using and avoid tangling based on how you manipulate the extensions.
